Jarrod Horak’s SANTA ANITA Pick 6 Preview for Friday (2-9-18)

SA 4 – An extended sprint on dirt for maidens kicks off the carryover sequence. Miss Tianjin is the one to beat on the drop. Majestic Design, Dadlani, and Dressed in Prada are also win contenders.

SA 5Saint Dermot and Southern Freedom will take the bulk of the wagering action in this claiming dirt route. Dukes Up might run past them all.

SA 6Gutsy Effort might return running in the opening leg of the Late Pick 4. Easter Morn and Wild Lando were separated by a head last time. Animo can improve second time out and Air Jockey is an interesting first timer.

SA 7Studly Perfection is a possible single on the surface switch. Cosa Nostra is proven on turf, and Lauderdale might move up second time out.

SA 8Secret Spice might return running under Kent D, and Show It N Moe It looked good last time vs. lesser. Four last-out maiden winners (Ms Dupree, Emboldened, Ahimsa, Highland Lass) can also compete for the win.

SA 9Mizzen Glory is the chalk in the turf route finale, and Subic Bay is a recent maiden winner from NY. Agent Nine T Nine, Hotsy Dotsy, and Road Test round out the logical win contenders.
