Jarrod Horak’s SANTA ANITA Pick 6 Preview for Thursday (2-8-18)

SA 3 – A claiming sprint kicks off the Thursday Pick 6 and Li’l Grazen is the favorite breaking from the outside post. Fair Regis is sharp and Kentan Road might be the target.

SA 4 – Another claiming sprint and Pomp and Party is the morning line choice. Tee Eye Em is well spotted and Coronado Cool is a gem of consistency.

SA 5 – Speed has been king in recent downhill sprints and returnee Captain Ron looms the inside target. Kopitar likes the downhill course and Glorious Crown is bred for turf.

SA 6 – In this claiming dirt sprint, Black Tie ‘N Tails flees the rail and looks like a solid threat for Peter Miller. Bargaining looks interesting at a price.

SA 7River Boyne is the one to beat in the turf route feature. Move Over stretches out after a solid downhill try. Kylemore is back on his winning surface after trying all-weather ground in his last pair.

SA 8 – A competitive maiden claiming finale ends the sequence. Simon Callaghan is strong with dropping maidens and he has Cinnamon Twist in this one. Ocean Bound should show speed from the rail. I would not be surprised if one of the first timers fired a winning shot.
