Jarrod Horak’s SANTA ANITA Pick 6 Preview for Thursday (1-11-18)

SA 3 – The opening leg of the Pick 6 carryover sequence is a maiden claiming turf route, and I will go four deep – Arrowsphere, Tell Me More, Paddy Jean, and Halo Ahead.

SA 4Revenue Virginius returns below her re-claimed level for Hollendorfer, and her best numbers put her in the winner’s circle. If she does not fire off the bench, look out for Princess Kendra from the red-hot Cerin barn.

SA 5Gracious Me is a logical second timer for the productive Kent D/Cerin team in this special weight dirt sprint. We could be looking at a big upset if she does not get the job done.

SA 6Animo is a fast-working first timer in a below par CA-bred maiden heat but his trainer almost always gives his horses a race. Wild Lando and Quick Finish are both in decent form.

SA 7Lucky Student is the inside speed and Southern Treasure should be stalking from the outside. One of those two should get you through this $8k dirt sprint.

SA 8 – The claiming dirt sprint finale is a real puzzle with multiple speed horses signed on. Fair Regis is in from New York, and Pomp and Party beat a sharp next out winner last time.
