Jarrod Horak’s SANTA ANITA Pick 6 Preview for Sunday (1-7-18)

SA 4 – A highly competitive optional claiming turf route kicks off the Sunday Pick 6 sequence. Moonless Sky is the tepid 7-2 favorite, and at least six others have a realistic shot.

SA 5Run Like Rhett and Clickjab are the logical players in this NW2L claimer. Trainer Vladimir Cerin is off to a fast start at SA and he saddles Moonlight Blue.

SA 6Lewys Vaporizor dives in class and looms the target. Airfoil has been in fine form for quite some time and deserves respect.

SA 7 – A very tough downhill sprint with several win candidates including Girl Downstairs, Peach Cove, and Del Mar Ann.

SA 8Win the War is the Santa Ynez chalk but she has never raced on dirt, and second choice Midnight Bisou is a maiden, but a talented one at that. War Heroine might be the one to reel in.

SA 9 – A difficult downhill sprint completes the sequence and we might be looking at a carryover into Thursday. Red Livy is a solid pace player but hardly a lock.
