Jarrod Horak’s SANTA ANITA Pick 6 Carryover Preview for Saturday (1-6-18)

SA 4 – An interesting maiden turf route to begin the carryover sequence. Rancor should be forwardly placed and figures tough if she can overcome the outside post. Paced and Ever So True are logical threats as well.

SA 5 – The Sham Stakes might be a free bingo square for McKinzie. The only other horse with a realistic win look is Shivermetimbers.

SA 6 – A below par maiden claiming dirt sprint for CA-breds might be a good spot for NoCal invader Impecunious.

SA 7 Itsinthepost is the class of the field in the San Gabriel. He can win but wants more ground. Isotherm should sit a good stalking trip but might need the race. He Will is the now horse.

SA 8Devil’s Beauty drew well in this extended sprint for $16k claimers. Kiss My Lulu is an inside pace factor for a hot barn. Paschalitsa likes this distance.

SA 9 – A very difficult downhill sprint for optional claimers to end the day. Instant Reflex ran well in both Del Mar turf sprints and is a solid threat if she handles the downhill course.
