Jarrod Horak’s SANTA ANITA Pick 6 Preview for Monday (1-1-18)

SA 4 – The Pick 6 starts with a CA-bred downhill sprint for straight maidens. Raven Creek must overcome the inside post and he hit the board in his previous five starts. Smart Knows Smart looks interesting on the turn back.

SA 5Jes Jaa is the solid chalk in this $12.5k extended sprint. Rprettyboyfloyd is back in SoCal for Jacobson and has sprinted successfully in the past.

SA 6Ax Man is a highly regarded first time starter for Baffert and he could be single or key material. Shanghai Billy ran well in his debut.

SA 7 – A wide open renewal of the Joe Hernandez Stakes for downhill sprinters and Pee Wee Reese is the tepid 3-1 morning line choice. Om also figures to take win action but he has not won since 2015.

SA 8 – This competitive dirt sprint has plenty of speed signed on and Treasure Hunter projects a decent outside stalking trip. Royal Bar adds blinkers and drew well.

SA 9How About Zero is the one to beat in the optional claiming turf route finale. Keep and eye in import The Tulip. She drilled a bullet for this Dec. 27.

Monday’s Pick 6 Budget + Spread Tickets are included with my Santa Anita Park full card analysis at winninghorsepicks.com.
