Santa Anita Park Pick 6 Preview for Saturday (10-28-17)

Friday Santa Anita Park Recap: October 27

Fast main track and firm turf course. One dueling front running winner on dirt (6f). The winning turf course running styles were a stalker at one mile, a midpack stalker at ten furlongs, and dueling front runner down the hill (rail at 30 feet).

Evin Roman booted home a pair.

I was alive to 10-1 longshot Uncle Billy in the finale for a 5 out of 6 consolation prize on Friday but the best he could muster was 5th in the 9-horse field. Nobody had six winners on Oct 27 and 5 out of 6 returned $94.80.

Jarrod Horak’s SANTA ANITA PARK Pick 6 Preview for Saturday (10-28-17)

SA 6 – There is a Pick 6 carryover of $28,226 and the Jackpot pool stands at $6,048. Painting Corners is 2-for-2 on the downhill course but meets other speed. She is a logical contender but hardly a lock.

SA 7 – This maiden claiming dirt sprint is tricky with six logical threats. Los Al shipper What’s Inside is the likely favorite but don’t be surprised if he fails to get the job done.

SA 8 – A tough MSW sprint and Baffert has two debut threats (Paint Me Lucky, McKinzie).

SA 9 – There are no less than six live contenders in the Twilight Derby. Sharp Samurai is the deserving favorite and I cannot fault those willing to take a stand with him. He is solid but not a lock.

SA 10 – Finally an easier race on paper. It looks like Spinyatta from the rail or Besides the Point from the outside.

SA 11 – A competitive state bred maiden turf route to end a difficult sequence. Bold Papa has proven form but is more likely to hit the board.

Saturday’s Pick 6 Tickets are included with my Santa Anita Park full card analysis at winninghorsepicks.com.
