Santa Anita Park Pick 6 Preview for Friday (10-27-17)

Thursday Santa Anita Park Recap: October 26

Fast main track and firm turf course. Two front running winners on dirt (6f, 8f). The winning turf course running styles were a patient runner at one mile, two downhill stalkers, and a front runner at one mile (rail at 20 feet).

Mario Gutierrez and Doug O’Neill teamed up for two wins. For good measure, O’Neill also took the finale with Kyle Frey in the saddle.

Both of my suggested Pick 6 singles scored on Thursday (Forthenineteen, Royal Bar) but I missed the other races in the sequence. There was one winning Pick 6 ticket on Oct 26 and it paid $91,170. Five out of six returned $585.20.

Jarrod Horak’s SANTA ANITA PARK Pick 6 Preview for Friday (10-27-17)

SA 3 – There is no Pick 6 carryover and the Jackpot pool starts over on Friday. Morgan S. looks solid if he can run back to his winning debut but he did disappoint second time out and is no cinch.

SA 4 – Dropper Craft Brew and first time gelding Masco Yodeler are logical threats from outer posts in the second leg on the Pick 6.

SA 5 – Lucy De figures to take action in this ten furlong turf route and should be forwardly placed but is not big on winning. Bombilate is a logical alternative to the aforementioned favorite.

SA 6 – You can never go wrong with a Baffert first timer and he has two of them in this special weight event (Dream Tree, Cosita Mia).

SA 7 – So many possible outcomes in a difficult Friday feature. Donji has the numbers but enjoys minor awards so don’t go overboard on the win end.

SA 8 – A tough maiden downhill sprint to end the card. Avalanche handles the downhill course and might return running but you could easily go six deep in this puzzler.

Friday’s Pick 6 Tickets are included with my Santa Anita Park full card analysis at winninghorsepicks.com.
