Santa Anita Daily Double + Early Pick 3 Tickets for Saturday (2-11-17)

Friday Santa Anita Recap: February 10 (Winning Daily Double + Early Pick 3 Tickets)

Fast main track and firm turf course. Four wire-to-wire winners on dirt (5.5f, 6.5f, 6f, 8f). The winning turf course running styles were an inside presser down the hill and a stalker at one mile (rail at 30 feet).

Friday’s (2-10-17) suggested Daily Double and Early Pick 3 Tickets from Santa Anita Park produced one Primary winner (KRISTI’S COPILOT) and two Secondary winners (Roo’s valentine, Big Bad Jon). The winning $2 Daily Double (races 2-3) ticket paid $33.60 and the $1 Early Pick 3 (races 1-3) brought back $625.30. In addition to the winning Double + Pick 3 tickets, I also tabbed third race winner KRISTI’S COPILOT ($7.80). That’s a Santa Anita Daily Double + Early Pick 3 four-bagger at Pick 6 Blog. Let’s make it five straight on Saturday!

Jarrod Horak’s SANTA ANITA Daily Double + Early Pick 3 analysis for Saturday (2-11-17)

SA 1 (OC-40k, 8T) #1 FRITZ JOHANSEN (5-2) got the job done by a head in above par fashion as my top vs. $50k claimers at this course/distance Jan 29. He likes this course (6-3-0-1) and distance (9-4-1-0) and projects a ground saving stalking trip. #3 Brandothebartender (9-2) got up to win by a nose vs. CA-breds at this course/distance Jan 8. He loses Kent D to Fritz Johansen but there is nothing wrong with Prat climbing aboard. #7 Poshsky (7-2) was up the track at 72-1 in the salty Cal Cup Turf Classic Jan 28. He won a $50k flat mile claimer at DMR Nov 24 and a repeat of that effort would land him in the Top 3 today. #8 Kasseopia (3-1) probably prefers all-weather and I would not be surprised if the returnee (1st start 7+ months) showed up at GG next time (3rd in 2016 El Camino Real Derby). In his last turf start at BEL, he set the pace and faded to 6th and the top two finishers were next out winners including American Patriot in the G3 Kent (88 BSF). #6 Force (6-1) makes his US debut for Red Barons Barn/Freeman and he was in the Top 3 in half of his 12 overseas turf starts. THE PLAYS: #1 to win, Exacta 3-6/1, Trifecta Key 1/3-6-7-8

SA 2 (Clm-8k, 8f) #1 ALLTHATNMORE (3-1) was nabbed out of her last by low profile trainer Rheinford and he was 5-for-19 last year. She might attempt a wire job from the rail under Contreras. #5 Joan of Arch (9-2) was nabbed out of her last by sharp trainer Diodoro (27% first after claim) and she graduated at this course/distance in 2015. #4 Frandontjudge (6-1) may have been thrown off form when she finished up the track on wet footing as the favorite Dec 30. She was edge for 3rd vs. similar course/distance rivals Jan 16 and gets in light with 10-pound apprentice Roman. She ran four good races last year from Sept 23-Dec 16 and tries to rediscover that form. #6 Individual Design (5-2) exits a decent 2nd vs. this kind here and will try to get involved late under Gonzalez. THE PLAYS: #1 to win, Exacta Box 1-5, Exacta 1-5/4-6

SA 3 (Mcl-30k, 6.5f) #6 LOUD STALKER (2-1) is a first time gelding adding blinkers. Miyadi shows a +ROI route/sprint and he has never raced for a tag this low. #2 This’s How We Roll (7-2) finished 2.5 lengths behind Loud Stalker in his Dec 26 bow and might show more the second time around. Miyadi also saddles first timer #5 Never Double Dip (4-1) and the experienced runners are not that fast. #8 Primary Target (12-1) debuts for competent trainer Pederson and has been working at SA since November 2016. THE PLAYS: #6 to win, Exacta 6/2-5-8, Exacta 2-5-8/6
