Santa Anita Park Recap – Thursday, October 30, 2014
Main track yielded one wire job (7f). Horses sitting in 2nd early captured four dirt races. Patient runners scored in both downhill turf sprints (rail at 30 feet).
Joe Talamo booted home a pair. George Papaprodromou saddled two winners on the day.
On the Pick 6 ticket front, I tabbed two Primary winners (Regally Ready, Heat Trap) and one Secondary winner (Jaded Glory). There is a double Pick 6 carryover ($147,923) into Breeders’ Cup Friday!

Jarrod Horak’s Early Pick 3 Tickets from Santa Anita Park – Friday, October 31, 2014
SA 1 (OC-40k, 6.5T) #11 INTOXICATING MOVE (8-1) fired Exacta shots in 5 of 6 downhill starts and Nakatani rode her well in last two turf starts. #7 Night Song (3-1) raced three times in GB last year and has not been seen since. Callaghan excels with shippers to the U.S. and she beat thirteen foes in turf sprint bow. #4 Jade With Envy (12-1) likes the downhill course (3-0-3-0) and Baze shows a profit with Puype. #8 Hide My Heart (4-1) shows up in the Sadler barn and looms the target under Rosario. THE PLAYS: #11 to win, Exacta Box 7-11, Exacta 7-11/4-8
SA 2 (G2 Las Vegas Marathon, 14f) #9 CARY STREET (10-1) is a Grade 3 winning shipper with stamina and the late runner gets pace to chase in the paper race. #4 Ice Cream Truck (8-1) was an excellent $20k claim for Avila in May. He could be best on dirt and might get first run. #7 Sky Kingdom (5-1) has a dangerous combination of early-pressing versatility and stamina. He won a local Grade 3 dirt marathon in 2013. THE PLAYS: #9 to win, Exacta Box 4-7-9
SA 3 (Golden State Juvenile, 7f) #4 MY FIONA (2-1) is a fresh late threat. She graduated here, attracts Bejarano, and earned the best last race number at Del Mar Aug 27. #7 Ashley’s Sassy (7-2) exits consecutive sprint wins and earned a better number here Oct 2. #9 Tatum’s Gold (8-1) is drawn favorably on the outside. She graduated here (Bejarano up) Sept 26 and earned a nice number. Rosario takes the call. #5 Easter Fever (7-2) never gave up vs. a couple of today’s rivals at 6f here Oct 2. THE PLAYS: #4 to win, Exacta 4/5-7-9, Exacta 5-7-9/4
