Saratoga Recap – July 26
A pair of six furlong wire jobs on the fast main track. Patient types nabbed all three inner turf routes (8.5f, 12f, 8.5f). The three Mellon course races produced a late running winner (9.5f) and two wire jobs (5.5f, 8.5f).
Nice win by Wicked Strong in the Jim Dandy. The addition of blinkers got him involved much earlier and he got the jump on Belmont hero Tonalist. It was a useful Travers prep for the latter.
Coup de Grace got plenty of pace help in the G2 Amsterdam. Nice patient ride by Rosie Napravnik. The Big Beast was strong throughout (6f in 1:09) in the 7th and Pletcher juvenile Competitive Edge (Super Saver – Magdalena’s Chase, by Cape Town) looks like a good one (6f in 1:09.89).
No riding or training doubles on Saturday.
Using the Pick 6 Scramble formula on Saturday, I tabbed three winners (The Big Beast, Coup de Grace, Wicked Strong).

Sunday’s Pick 6 Tickets
Note that the Standard Ticket shows how much it would cost if you used all of the contenders on one ticket. The multiple Primary/Secondary ticket strategy saves money and allows you to put your strong handicapping opinions to the test.
In addition to my regular Primary-Secondary ticket strategy, I will incorporate DRF’s Ticketmaker A-B-C strategy, Pick 6 Scramble, and the Big Ticket-Budget Ticket strategy that I used when I started this blog in 2009.
Today, I have posted Pick 6 tickets below using the Pick 6 Scramble:
Ticket 1: 11-5-7-2-5-10
Ticket 2: 11-5-11-1-5-4
Ticket 3: 11-5-9-8-5-3
